
December 19, 2016 (Indianapolis, IN) – Amanda Parker, founder and president of Collective Alternative, a full-service marketing, advertising and public relations firm located in Fort Benjamin Harrison, was named Avatar of the Year by the Indianapolis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the largest chapter in the nation. This award is given to a NAWBO member under the age of 40 who represents the organization’s mission and vision in all facets of business ownership, including innovative leadership and community involvement.
Parker was named the recipient during the 13th Annual NAWBO Visionary Awards Luncheon held in downtown Indianapolis at the JW Indianapolis Marriott Hotel on Thursday, December 15. More than 700 women business owners gathered to celebrate alongside the Mayor of Indianapolis, Joe Hogsett, and the Indiana Lieutenant Governor and Governor-Elect, Eric Holcomb.
